Weekend Market In Voormalige Borg Ewsum
Weekend Market
When visiting Voormalige Borg Ewsum market, you can expect to see a beautiful garden and a selection of locally produced food. The garden houses thousands of different species of flowers and vegetables, and it smells wonderful everywhere you go. There are pears decorated on stone walls, pumpkins sold by lovely farmers, and a little café you can sit down to watch people and hear live music being played in the background.
Try the crispy waffles sold by a little car booth right in the heart of the market, near the pond. Deliciously good.
You can take with you a couple of pumpkins here in the autumn season. Why not make a pumpkin ravioli with a butter sage sauce?
Local Treasures And Family Fun
It is a great destination to visit when you feel like taking a step outside the city and breathe som fresh air. It is wonderful to stroll around and see the various collection of plants and fruits such as peaches, pears, mangoes, sage, coriander onions and so much more. They have plenty of space for children to run on around on grass fields and in garden labyrints, kites playing in the wind, and during our visit there was even a show hosted by firemen who demonstrated safety and showed off their cars. It is a family friendly destination packed with lots of fun activities.
